Chris Smith
I’m Chris, long time demo for Stampin’ Up! but now mostly in it for the love of playing with color and texture. I don’t market formal classes anymore but love to gather with friends and family to share what I’ve learned and collected over the years.
For over 18 years I blogged on the Typepad platform which was recently discontinued. Instead of just rolling all of it over to another site I decided it would be better to edit it down to that which really represents my story and experience of paper crafting. For that reason you will see a mix of posts: straight reposts of previous work, posts that blend old and new work, and new work. I guess I should clarify that new work might not be limited to just papercrafting. I have a lot of other interests like reading, cooking, gardening, quilting, spending time outdoors and up at Lake Superior so it’s possible that those activities may show up here too.
My Ink Pad
I started using “inkpad” the first move after being in paper crafting for a few years, when I had to start a new email. That was back when your email was associated with your internet provider. When I joined Splitcoaststampers I used it again and it pretty much stuck as my online identity. My first blog and Facebook page were called From My Ink pad, with “Ink pad” indicating the place I stamped. That was long before craft room was a common room in your house. Anyway I’ve had many “ink pads”, from expansive to tiny. They all work!
